As you write on the blog this week, I'd like you to respond to these
first few poems that we're reading. But I'd also like you to share some
information about yourself--your attitudes/experiences about reading and
writing and anything else you might want to share. Please also ask any
questions you have and I'll use this space to answer them.
All entries on the blog this first week (until 2/02) will be extra credit.
Hi everyone, my name is Salomee. I was not really interested in reading until I started collage last semester, when I started to get more involved, I loved it and wanted to read more. I am now starting to explore more on books and would really like if you guys could suggest any interesting ones. As far as my writing goes, I am not perfect but I have learned that It is a process and I keep working on it so I will get better eventually.
ReplyDeleteHello, My name is Andrew. Up until I started college last year, I did not really engage in any reading. For the most part I personally feel that High School turned me off to reading, as my High School did not really engage me in the books they choose for classes. However I also feel I did not make much of an effort to read them. Moving on, college allowed me to retouch upon reading in a new way. I am trying to read more now, so any good book suggestions would be good. As for writing, I feel I am a decent writer, although my writing can always improve, and I have tried in the past to challenge myself with my writing. Hopefully this class can bring me the challenge I was looking for. Anyways, that's a little about me.
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Nicole. I am not really much of a reader and I never was. It's not that I don't like it, I just never really push myself to read on my free time... I probably should since everything in life pretty much requires you to read at one point or another... Although I am no where near an expert I honestly enjoy writing. I don't mind essays at all either. I think that this class will help me strengthen my papers in all of my classes. I have never really done a blog or anything like this for any class in high school or college so I think this will be a cool way to keep up with every-ones thoughts and see what people think about the material in our classes.
ReplyDeletehello, my name is Tatiyana. I like reading more than I do writing. I only like reading if it's something i am interested in. i really do not like writing because I find that there are too many rules and i don't like being told what to write.
ReplyDeleteHi, My Name Is Tamesh. I’ve Never Been Much Of A Reader Until Last Semester. Not That I Don’t Like Reading, I Just Found Everything I’ve Read Uninterested. Most Of The Time I Only Read Things I’m Interested In. Whoever, Writing Is Something I Love To Do On My Free Time. Although I’m No Expert On Essays.. I Still Know How To Make A Strong Essay. I’m Lookin’ Forward To This Class, Because I Still Have A Lot To Learn.
ReplyDeleteHey, my name is Maryjo Rodgers, my friends & family call me Mj for short. Ive never been crazy about reading but when i find something i like i tend to get really into it and can't put the book down however i love writing. In high school i took a memior class and loved it but I've been writing before that, i have a journal i love to write in. I don't do much besides school and work so when i do get free time which is rare, i just sleep.
ReplyDeleteHey my names Shaista. I like reading but I haven’t been doing it as much now a days. I guess I’m not motivated or I don’t have the right book. I’m into sci if, horror, and mystery. I’d love a recommendation. As for writing I can ramble on and on but I’m still working on organizing my information and being insightful and analytical. I enjoyed my 101 class a lot, it was very encouraging and I look forward to this class.
ReplyDeleteHi Shaista: I've used the Hunger Games books in my Pop Culture class before and that seems pretty popular.
DeleteIt seems like a lot of you like to read and want titles. Why don't you share some of the titles that you like?
